Participates in fire suppression calls and other emergency response activities. Essential duties include:
- Assists in fire suppression and other emergency response activities using the appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Responds to calls for emergency medical services.
- Operates a variety of specialized tools and equipment.
- Participates in search and rescue operations as assigned.
- Participates in emergency medical response activities.
- Participates in the maintenance of equipment, vehicles, buildings and grounds.
- Completes a variety of reports; reviews fire reports for accuracy.
- Participates in training exercises; maintains required certifications.
- Assists in public relations and fire/life safety education activities.
- Conducts fire prevention and pre-plan inspections.
- Performs related duties.
