What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Worker I position at City of Hallandale Beach?
Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance of park grounds, athletic fields, landscaping, open spaces (undeveloped land including green space, medians, streets, lots, etc.). Operates a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicles in the operation, repair, and maintenance of City parks, beaches, athletic fields, and/or open spaces. Work is performed under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

High school diploma or GED; supplemented by some experience in parks, grounds, and/or facility maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Must have a valid Florida driver's license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment. Must have or be able to obtain first aide, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External (AED) certifications within three (3) months of hire. Certified Arborist, Commercial Landscape Maintenance Applicator, and Ornamental and/or Certified Horticulture Professional designations preferred, May be required to have or obtain additional formal industry certification(s) based on area of assignment.
