High school diploma or GED. Three (3) or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Must have a valid Florida Class B commercial driver's license with an air brake endorsement (or must be able to obtain within 6 months) and satisfactory driving record throughout employment. Preferably obtain an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification within six (6) months of hire. Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certifications preferred.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.In order to move on to the next phase of the application screening process, you must attach proof of education.
Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to, evaluation of training and experience background investigation; medical evaluation; controlled substance screen.
Applicants are required to sign an affidavit for non-use of tobacco products in order to be considered for employment.
