Provides tutorial and general program assistance in the development and supervision of program participants' tutorial/educational needs, including enrichment and character building initiatives, various prevention projects and initiatives, and special events. Receives supervision and guidance from certified teachers and teacher assistants in the delivery of effective instruction. Work is performed under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment. Must have or be able to obtain CPR and basic first aid training and Florida Department of Children and Families required early childhood education, teacher assistant, and/or childhood development associate certifications within one year of start date.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not limited to, evaluation of training and experience; background investigation; medical evaluation; controlled substance screening.
Applicants are required to sign an affidavit for non-use of tobacco products in order to be considered for employment.
