What are the responsibilities and job description for the Zoning Technician position at City of Hallandale Beach?
This is a professional technical position enforcing the City of Hallandale Beach's zoning and other land development ordinances through the review of site plans submitted with building permits. The purpose of this position is to provide customer service to address and resolve citizen requests and concerns in a broad range of zoning, land development code, and architectural review. Work is conducted under the direct supervision of the Principal Planner but will require coordination with Building and Code Compliance employees on a regular basis.

High Diploma or GED. Two (2) years’ experience in the field of Architecture, Urban Planning, or related fields. Some municipal zoning experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification or obtain within one year of employment.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
Salary : $44,029 - $74,849
