This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to work with automation systems, hardware, software, and databases while supporting essential departmental operations. You’ll play a key role in solving customer service issues with technology solutions, creating system reports, and collaborating with our Development Services Center (DSC) as well as our Information Technology Department to provide outstanding service. Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in IT systems, database management, or related areas (e.g., Microsoft Office Specialist, SQL, etc.).
- A minimum of one year of experience in data analysis, database management, and CRM systems.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Must successfully pass a background check prior to any offer of employment or promotion.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record based on the City of Hampton’s criteria.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills
- Experience with community development programs or government operations.
- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software.
- Familiarity with database tools and reporting software.
