What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician Journeyman position at City of Harlingen Waterworks System?
Position Summary
Performs skilled level work in a variety of specialized tasks required to meet most electrical and communication requirements for Waterworks System. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of Waterworks electrical equipment, camera, and telephone systems including power wiring, control wiring, conduct installation, and construction of control panel. Work is generally performed under direct supervision though independent judgment must often be exercised; however, work is evaluated through observation by the Outside Operations Superintendent and/or outside operations assistant and reviewed according to the overall efficiency of the end product and performance. Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are required in dealing with contractors, co-workers, and public.
