FRONT DESK/OUTDOOR POOL FRONT DESK/TOT-WATCH ATTENDANT

(Must be able to work HCC opening shift starting weekdays at 4:50 a.m.; Sat. at 6:50 a.m. & Sun. at 9:50 a.m.)

OUTDOOR POOL: Must be available to work Monday - Thursday 12-7pm and Friday - Sunday 12-6pm.

Requires successful post-offer completion of a background investigation, physical exam, and drug test (including marijuana/THC) as a condition of employment with the City of Harrisonville.

General Definition of Work

Performs work managing the Community Center’s front desk by helping patrons with their needs, keeping the front desk organized and updated, opening/closing the facility, counting the drawer and performing bank deposits, relaying knowledge of the facility and programs to customers, assisting managers and other programs, and related work as apparent or assigned.

Work is performed under the supervision of the Business Manager.

Essential Functions

• Manages the front desk; assists patrons; organizes, cleans, updates information, and takes phone calls; gathers and organizes data; performs transactions for patrons.
• Opens/closes the facility by unlocking/locking the facility, turning on/off lights, machines, and TVs, counting the drawer, and doing deposits.
• Relays knowledge of the facility and programs to customers.
• Will be responsible for managing and addressing customer complaints while on shift while maintaining a positive and constructive customer service experience.
• Assists the Business Manager with other projects and tasks as assigned and with creating staff schedules.
• Integrates and enforces all Parks and Recreation policies, rules, and regulations.
• Helps with childcare (Tot-Watch) by supervising children.
• Maintains records and files.
• Must be courteous and helpful to the public.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED and one year of experience in customer service and with various computer programs in an office setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Manager on Duty must be 18 years or older.

Minimum age for Front Desk 16 years of age.

Minimum age for Tot Watch 15 years of age.

Special Qualifications

• Obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications from an approved organization within six months of hire.
• A valid driver’s license in the State of Missouri.

Position is limited to 25 hours per week at a rate of $13.75 per hour. Hours of operation are M-Thurs. 5:00 a.m. - 9 p.m., Fri. 5:00 a.m. - 8 p.m., Sat. 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sun. 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
