- Grant writing and administration.
- Data collection and analytics.

- Effectively represent the department and the City in meetings with other governmental agencies, community groups, businesses, and professional and regulatory organizations.
- Effectively use computer systems and relevant software applications.
- Establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Express oneself clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
- Analyze and make recommendations on sustainability, environmental, and energy-related matters.
- Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive correspondence, reports, studies, and other written materials.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment with some travel to different sites. Incumbent may be required to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Open to all applicants who meet the following qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with major coursework in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, Engineering, Project Management, Landscape Architecture, or a related field AND three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in project management or working on sustainability initiatives.
ORAn associate's degree from from an accredited college with major coursework in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, Engineering, Project Management, Landscape Architecture, or a related field AND five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in project management or working on sustainability initiatives.
Required Licenses; Certifications; Special Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Requirements
• Spanish language skills.
A completed CITY OF HARTFORD RESIDENCY AFFIDAVIT including proof of residency as indicated on the RESIDENCY AFFIDAVIT may be submitted.
