What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN position at City of Hartselle?
This position is responsible for assisting the IT Manager in providing city departments with a reliable computer network and telecommunications structure. Keeps the City website and social media sites updated with design and content.
Requires:
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in network administration, computer/network maintenance, management and troubleshooting. Knowledge of networking, including TCT/IP, VPN, VOIP, Wi-Fi, VLAN and routing. Knowledge of server systems, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management, and Trusts and Domain Functions. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365, MS Office, Adobe Suite and Windows operating systems.
- Skill in setting up and maintaining firewalls and software security.
- Possess an associate's degree in general studies, prefer a bachelor's degree in computer related field.
- Possess a valid Alabama driver's license and be insurable.
- Ability to work nonstandard hours including weekends and holidays as required and to remain on call after hours.
