Summary
This seasonal position will be responsible for the Red Cross Parent/Child swim lessons and Water Fitness Classes at the Hastings Family Aquatic Center. Employment typically runs from mid-May to late August.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Instruct Red Cross Parent/Child swim lesson participants while following Hastings Family Aquatic Center swim lesson guidelines.
- Attend the pre-season trainings and in-services as scheduled.
- Maintain a professional, mature, and positive teaching style while instructing.
- Answer any questions related to the programs of individual students.
- Teach Water Fitness Classes.
- Will be required to work Tuesday and Thursday evenings along with Saturday mornings.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays.
