DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The EMS Coordinator will operate, manage and oversee EMS programs for Hastings Fire & Rescue. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling, instructing, purchasing, consulting, acting as a liaison with external stakeholders, policy changes, change of operation, and participation in evaluations of EMS skills and competencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- All those pertaining to the position of Firefighter/Paramedic
- Three years experience in a career fire department
- Two years experience operating/managing a 911 ambulance preferred
CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENCES
- All those pertaining to the position of Firefighter/Paramedic
- Firefighter I and II
- Nebraska EMS Instructor License
- CPR Instructor (within 6 months of hire)
- NIMS 300. 400 (within one year from date of hire)
- Position subject to annual NFPA 1582 physical, department determined annual physical ability test, and SCBA fit test.

HOURS
This position is a full-time hourly position.
Normal hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
but may be called to fire alarms or other emergencies
