Utilities - Warehouse
SUMMARY
Leads the Warehouse department, directs work of personnel, and performs routine and complex storekeeping tasks related to purchasing and maintaining large and varied stock of supplies, tools, equipment, parts and materials. Leads and performs a variety of complex Purchasing and Inventory control functions in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Oversee all Storekeeper/Stores Clerk and Warehouse operations.
- Supervise department personnel in day-to-day warehouse operations by coaching, team building, assigning tasks, setting performance standards, ensuring training completion, and conducting evaluations.
- Develop and implement departmental strategic objectives, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Oversee and process change orders to purchase orders as needed.
- Ensures safe and compliant storage practices and record keeping of hazardous materials, including transformer PCB’s.
- Receives, stores, and keeps accurate records and gives reports on equipment, spare parts and supplies.
- Completes necessary requisitions, purchase orders, etc. necessary to obtain needed inventory materials, spare parts and supplies.
- Submits and evaluates bids from vendors for pricing, specification match, and availability on equipment, spare parts, and supplies.
- Check and insures invoices match purchase orders.
- Estimate stock needs and assure proper inventories are maintained.
- Maintain proper balance receipt verification of charges to Utility supplied credit card.
- Operate equipment including light truck, forklift, and other equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; and at least 5 years of warehouse experience. Supervisory experience and experience with the operations of computer-controlled inventory system are a plus.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid driver's license.

HOURS
40 hours per week
Monday thru Friday, 8-5 but may be called upon to help during emergency or shut-down situations.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
No residency requirement.
