SUMMARY
Maintains public grounds, buildings, parks, athletic fields, and facilities for the city. Work is reviewed while in progress and through observation of results obtained.
Typical tasks include:
- Landscaping
- Groundskeeping
- Pesticide Handling
- Tree Trimming
- General Maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in the maintenance of grounds, buildings or facilities is preferred but not required. Irrigation experience is a plus.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, and maintain an appropriate, valid Class A CDL within one year of date of hire.
- Possess and maintain herbicide applicator's license within one year of date of hire.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
30 minutes from duty station per, Google maps within 6 months of hire.
HOURS
40 hour per week
Normal hours are Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm. However, the position is subject to be called in at any time for emergencies and maintenance operations.
