DEPARTMENT
Utilities - Warehouse
SUMMARY
Perform a variety of skilled and unskilled labor involved in the storing and warehousing of utility materials, parts, equipment, tools, and supplies; order, receive, stock, and issue materials and supplies for the Utilities Department; assist in maintaining adequate stock levels; and maintain accurate stock inventory records.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; and
- Three years of general stock or warehousing experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized inventory systems preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid driver's license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Receive, unpack, check, count, record and store material in proper location.
- Issue material from stock as required and record transactions as appropriate.
- Perform physical inventory cycle counts and reconcile to perpetual records.
- Initiate and prepare purchase requisitions, receiving reports and other forms and reports.
- Sort, disassemble, inspect, test, evaluate, clean and return to inventory or discard used material.
- Operate computers with inventory and supply chain programs including, but not limited, to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Operate light truck, forklift and other equipment in performance of material handling duties.
- Perform related work as required and all other duties as may be assigned.

HOURS
40 hours per week
Monday thru Friday, 8-5 but may be called upon to help during emergency or shut-down situations.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
No residency requirement.
