The City of Healdsburg is currently recruiting for the positions of Recreation Leader I - III to join the Community Services Department in a variety of capacities! These positions will support after school programs, and sports programs!After School Program: Monday-Friday, 2pm - 6pmSports: Shifts vary between 5:30 pm - 10:00pmRecreation Leaders earn a salary range of $16.50 - $21.00 per hour. This a non-benefited, part-time position, no more than 1000 hours per fiscal year. Applications will be reviewed weekly. Interviews may be scheduled at any time until the positions have been filled. Prompt application is encouraged.About the Recreation Leader I-III PositionUnder general direction provides support to recreation programming and facility staff in the operations of assigned recreation facility(ies) and programs The Recreation Leader works under direction from a Recreation Coordinator. Work assignments also may be made by higher-level recreation classifications.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Employees in this classification may not perform all of the duties listed below. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist general public in a variety of recreation programs Answer phones and questions from the public regarding recreation programs and facilitiesProcess registration forms; take payments and complete receiptsProvide support to recreation program coordination staffEnsure compliance with applicable City and County laws and ordinances, and City policies and proceduresPerforms related work as assigned. In addition to the above duties, tasks within an assigned department may include, but are not limited to, the following: Complete daily logs of recreation center activities; monitor room set-up and routine maintenance of facilities during evening and weekend hoursKeep accurate records of attendance at recreation programs or eventsAssist in the promotion of recreation activities through a wide variety of promotional mediaAssist in setting up and taking down furniture and equipmentCollect and record daily revenues; perform related duties as assignedAssist in coordination of maintenance and custodial activities.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Incumbents must be willing to work a flexible schedule, depending on program needs, including working evenings, weekends and holidays. Duties require sufficient mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment; vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
