The City of Hibbing is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable full-time Accounting Clerk to join the City Finance Department. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily financial operations, including data entry, accounts payable and receivable, recordkeeping, and reconciliation tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency with accounting software, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Two-year degree in Finance or Accounting, or combination of equivalent education and experience. Data processing experience relating to accounting, accounts payable, and payroll. Ability to work effectively with the City Council, staff, and the public to obtain the desired results. Ability to follow directives, policies, and procedures which apply to governmental fund accounting, invoice processing, and payroll processing. Self-motivated; ability to work independently, yet a team worker.
