Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director or Designee as a seasonal worker your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, conducting recreational activities and other related duties, at a playground or play center. Must be an area resident.
Responsibilities
- Conduct General Recreation activities including Free Play and planned group activities at a playground or assist in such activities at the recreation center.
- Organize or assist in giving instructions in group games and sports activities, teaching classes in handicrafts, domestic Arts, Performing Arts, conduct sports days, and other special events.
- Maintains order, see that equipment and apparatus is properly used. Encourages participation and provide first aid.
- Attend staff meetings, keep records and make reports of activities and incidents.
- Maintain a clean and organized activity space.
- Performs duties as needed by the director and assist other coworkers.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Handling classes in arts and crafts, athletic activities, and conducting organized group activities.
- CPR/First Aide certified, complete Police clearance & drug screen, physically active.
