Performs housekeeping duties for the CORE.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Cleans and sanitizes areas as assigned within the facility to include restrooms, locker rooms, office areas, break rooms, common areas and surfaces. Ensures that all restroom supplies are replenished. Cleans windows and walls, sweeps, mops, vacuums, shampoos and steam cleans carpets; polishes and buffs floors. Dusts furniture and wipes base boards. Empties and relines trash and garbage cans on a daily basis and more frequent as needed. Picks up litter in and around the building and grounds area. Maintains custodial equipment. Opens and closes, locks and unlocks building facilities as needed. Performs minor repairs such as changing out light bulbs and repairs to bathroom facilities as needed. Moves and sets up furniture and equipment as needed and assigned. Sweeps or blows any debris in entrance doorways. Removes ice, snow, or any other hazards from walkways. Acts as a backup to the CORE Custodial Supervisor in his/her absence, as assigned.The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in high precarious place greater than 10 feet, and is occasionally exposed to adverse weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
