Performs routine clerical work in answering phones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance. Performs routine clerical and secretarial work including cashiering, typing, record keeping and filing.
- Regular attendance is required to perform the duties of this position.
- Maintains office forms and procedures; Performs filing for division.
- Types reports, notices, agendas, minutes, memorandums and correspondence as directed.
- Answers central telephone system and mobile radio base station.
- Routes calls or provides information as required. Receives public and answers questions.
- Responds to inquiries from employees, citizens and others regarding information on Parks & Recreation programs and refers, when necessary to appropriate persons.
- Assists public and employees with duplicating.
- Schedules use of Parks & Recreation facilities, explains procedures, regulations, and policies to citizens.
- Collects fees and performs registration duties.
- Operates listed office machines as required.

In pursuit of graduation from high school or GED with course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, data entry, accounting and book keeping. Strong computer background preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing; Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; Some knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to perform cashier duties accurately
- Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public;
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, and the public.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
Valid State issued Driver's License
