- . Provides request forms to the public for items such as clearance letters and police reports, accepts and verifies request forms determining whether or not requested information can be disclosed, receipts fees for requested reports.
- Receipts monies for fingerprinting.
- Receives and screens money for inmates.
- Prepares and enters invoices for billing of new alarm permits and fees.
- Enters and maintains current information on alarm permit requests or new permit numbers, sends past due notices or correspondence to customers and receipts monies.
- Verifies monies for out of city or out of county bonds, purchases and forwards money order via certified mail to the appropriate court.
- Prepares re-cap sheets for all monies receipted and forwards to Clerk's office, as well as all outgoing mail.
- Transfers original warrants to and from Lea County Communication Authority.
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required. One year previous clerical or communications related experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Standard Microsoft Software.
- Ability to learn and operate various RMS software systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally with citizens.
- Ability to perform duties with a high degree of attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Police department personnel and general public.
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid state issued driver's license.
