Performs technical, clerical, and physical work in the operation of a warehouse for Hopewell Water Renewal
Examples of Duties
- Issues merchandise from the central warehouse, enters all stock and store transactions into Munis and Hexagon systems
- Receives shipments, checks quantity and quality of items received against invoices, reports discrepancies, unpacks and stores items, updates as necessary.
- Weighs, packages, and returns, damaged goods, calibrations, repaired parts via UPS, R&L, and other carriers
- Inputs via computer terminals data regarding warehouse activity, uses both systems to assist Maintenance and others in seeking correct parts needed.
- Enters Requisitions for items to be restocked and logs in both Munis and Hexagon inventory systems. Organizes, Labels, and maintains stock and merchandise,
- Maintains records and participates in periodic and special inventories
- Requests quotes, and price sourcing from various vendors for stock items via email, or phone
- Assists with sourcing and update items of obsolete parts as needed
- Load/unload trucks via forklift.
- Check status of Open POs for department
- Notify HWR personnel via email to alert them of items arrived at Stores
- Maintaining personable relationships with vendors
- Confirming work orders for parts issued
- Enters work orders on equipment needing service or repair for department
- Schedules waste removal of trash and metal with correct company
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to read, write and count, and at least 6 months experience working in the issuance, inventory and acquisitions of parts and supplies in a computerized environment or related experience.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
- VA driver’s license
- Forklift operator’s license
Knowledge:
- General knowledge of modern warehouse and inventory practices
Skills:
- Data entry, organization, attention to detail, and basic math and computer skills
Abilities:
Ability to operate forklift

Work Environment:
- Work is primarily performed indoors but is exposed to temperamental changes (warehouses, covered loading docks, garages, etc) or extreme noise, odors, heights and/or dust. Worker may be exposed to potentially dangerous situations or materials.
