Workdays & Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday *Subject to change
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs a variety of entry-level professional accounting duties, such as processing all payments such as (Vendor invoice, Contractor payroll, Travel/Milage another misc. payments).
- Processes all A/P Payments for the department. Adhere to the vendor payment terms in the SAP Vendor Display table to ensure payments are timely and accurate. In addition to payments such as Sport Contractors Payroll, Travel Advance & Liquidation, Milage reimbursement and another miscellaneous payment. Maintains the departments' A/P invoices for archiving.
- Creates ad hoc spreadsheets for Service Release Orders (SRO) and Good Receipts/Invoice Receipts.
- Work with the Controller’s Office to clear the GR/IR balance at fiscal year-end.
- Communicates the best resolution for invoices payments and billing discrepancies to vendors.
- Responds to Internal/External Auditor’s A/P payment inquiries for the Single Audit.
- Demonstrates the ability to interact and communicate with Internal and External customers via emails, phone, or Teams Meeting.
- Other responsibility will be to pick up, collect, and distributes departmental mail.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field such as Finance.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
No experience is required.
Substitution: Four years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement.
Substitution: An Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field and two years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement.
