DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Architect - Infrastructure, that will play a key role in designing, implementing and ensuring the reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of our IT infrastructure. Responsible for the design, installation, administration, and optimization of the company servers, e.g., Windows, UNIX, LINUX, and related components to achieve high performance of the various business applications. Ensures the availability of client / server applications, configures all new implementations, and develops processes / procedures for ongoing management of the server environment. Handles access issues and assists in overseeing the physical security, integrity, and safety of the data center / server farm.
Skills and Competencies :
Level : An architect is a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include :
WORKING CONDITIONS There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature, and air conditions. May occasionally require work in outdoor environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management and Information Systems (MIS) or a closely related field.
Holds multiple system-specific technical certifications; recognized as having mastery of a particular technical discipline.
A Master's degree in Computer Science or Management and Information Systems or closely related field may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the experience requirement.
EXPERIENCE At least ten (10) years of specialized experience in an IT infrastructure system.
