DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Office of Talent & Organizational Development (OT&OD) is a division of the City of Houston's Human Resources Department. Our mission is to build a first-class responsive and results-oriented workforce by providing learning that meets critical business goals and lifelong learning opportunities that will prepare employees in an evolving technological society. The Office of Talent & Organizational Development (OT&OD) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to serve as a Training Coordinator . In this critical role, you will lead the coordination, delivery, and implementation of comprehensive training and learning programs across various disciplines, including leadership development, technical training, compliance, and professional development. You will ensure that programs meet organizational goals, enhance employee performance, and support the City's strategic objectives. As a member of the Training Team, you will play an active role in inspiring learners to build and experiment with new mindsets, skillsets, and toolsets for various stages of their career.
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Four years of professional personnel experience involving training in a formal classroom and / or the development of curriculum and lesson plans for adult learners are required.
Pertinent training experience at the professional level may be substituted for the above educational requirement on a year-for-year basis
