DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Office of Talent & Organizational Development mission statement is to ignite passion, empower people, and advance performance through partnerships and learning. To help us with our mission-centered work, we are in search of an Organizational Development (OD Analyst) to partner with the OD Division Manager to drive organizational effectiveness through the creation of systems, networks, and practices. Areas of focus the OD Division Manager and OD Analyst may address include, but may not be limited to, performance consulting, change and transition management, workplace culture, employee engagement, succession planning, continuous improvement, customized training delivery for OD Thought Partner Engagements and special projects.
The OD Analyst must be able to:
- Partner with the OD Division Manager to provide performance consulting, recommend and implement appropriate solutions enhancing organizational, team or individual performance.
- Independently and/or collaboratively:
- Select and/or create diagnostic tools, surveys and metrics to gain a data-driven perspective of the organizational landscape or impact of interventions and client experience
- Conduct field research, focus groups, training or coaching interventions
- Synthesize business best practices with public sector acumen to craft innovative OD strategies
- Incorporate project management and time management skills to plan, implement and monitor several initiatives running concurrently.
- Design and/or delivery customized training or coaching solutions
- Maintain a high level of accountability and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
- Establish credibility and build relationships with tram members and organizational leaders.
- Meet individual performance metrics and goals while modeling behavior-based competencies.
- Maintain high emotional intelligence reflecting analytical capabilities balanced with relationship skills
- Conduct strategic research to forecast evolving industry requirements and stay ahead of trends in best practices

- Collaborate with the Office of Talent & Organizational Development team members in the pursuit of the overall mission.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Administration, Finance or a field directly related to the type of work being performed.
Graduate degrees related to the type of work to be performed may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Three years of professional administrative, financial or analytical experience related to the type of work being performed are required.
Professional experience related to the type of work to be performed may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTSNone
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Excel, Qualtrics, MS Office 365 applications (MS Teams, Visio, Planner, MS Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Forms, Lists and MS Stream) and Adobe Pro.
- Five or more years of directly related experience
- Five or more years of supervisory or experience leading diverse teams and interacting with senior executives, middle managers and front-line employees
- Degrees in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management, Public or Business Administration
- Specialized Certifications in areas such as: Organizational Develop Development Certification Program (ODCP), OD Certified Consultant (ODCC), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Gallup Certified Strengths Coach
- Experience with Canva or Articulate 360 will be a plus
- Public sector experience with organization-wide and cultural transformation is also preferred
- A passion for public service.
