About our Department:
The General Services Department consists of several divisions in different locations throughout the City. The Facilities Projects Division manages new construction, additions, and alterations of City-owned buildings and parks. The Maintenance Division oversees the maintenance and janitorial services of City-owned structures and properties.
Custodial Shift Supervisor Position Overview:
The work involves supervising custodial staff on an assigned shift. Performs experienced building cleaning and related custodial tasks. Meets with clients and discusses the quality of services. Work involves assigning and checking the work of subordinates. Workers initiate their shift's daily assignments, follow through for prompt and quality completion of work, and use independent judgment and training to take appropriate actions to deal with standard recurring situations under the direction of the General Services Custodial and Security Supervisor.
Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements:
High school diploma or GED certificate and three years' experience in building cleaning. One-year janitorial supervisory experience preferred.
Valid Driver's License
