Job Description
This is a management and professional engineering position that supervises and directs all engineering services for the city, as well as environmental and regulatory oversight for public utilities (stormwater, wastewater and water).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the operations of the Engineering Department and provide environmental and regulatory oversight for Public Utilities.
- Report to the Director of Public Works and work closely with other departments and officials.
- Provide engineering support services for economic development opportunities and collaborate on the development of Subdivision Agreements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, plus five years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota and ability to maintain certification.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
