What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Director position at City of Inkster?
The ideal candidate will act as an employee champion and a leader of change. You will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention, and leadership development
- Function as a strategic business partner and advisor to the leadership team
- Develop initiatives, policies and programs to complement existing practices and create consistency across the organization
- Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to attract top talent
- Ensuring compliance with local and state employment regulations as well as labor relations and collective bargaining agreements
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources
- 4 years' of professional HR experience
- Experience in full cycle Human Resources including but not limited to: talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, & offboarding.
- Experience with CBA's, unionized environment, and negotiations (preferred).
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
