Position Description: Seasonal laborers play a vital role by helping maintain the park’s facilities,
assisting with daily operations, and ensuring visitors have a safe, welcoming experience. Typical work
duties include cleaning restrooms, string trimming, trash collection, mowing, general landscaping, painting
and small repairs, and other related activities. The work is performed under the direction of a higher-level
department employee.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possession of a valid New York State Class D driver license or a valid driver license equivalent to a
New York State Class D driver license at the time of appointment and maintenance of said license for
the duration of employment.
- Must be capable of performing moderate to heavy physical labor, which can include lifting, bending,
cleaning, and grounds maintenance.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, which may include weekends and holidays, as park usage often
may adjust based on operational needs and weather.

• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
- Dependability and a positive attitude toward teamwork and public service.
