The Office of Economic Development Department is actively seeking a Business Development Data Analyst.

Examples of Work
- Performs research, technical analysis for job creation and development projects to include development of recommendations for the use of public investment available at local, state and federal level (if applicable).
- Prepares fiscal impact analysis to support the proposed level of public investment being proposed for the private sector business seeking expansion or new location to the City and Region.
- Prepares memoranda for presentation to OED Management, Mayor’s Office and City Council supporting the public investment necessary to support the expansion or relocation of a business entity to Jacksonville.
- Generates a variety of standard reports and performs ad hoc reports as requested.
- Gathers data, documentation, prepares reports, and coordinates responses for various internal and external requests.
- Develops complex reports using Microsoft Office programs, reporting tools, Salesforce and other CRM databases, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and various ERP systems.
- Creates map projects using ArcGIS software tools and provides ad hoc maps and data queries.
- Participates in public and private planning and development meetings and identify economic development projects for consideration.
- Performs related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of principles and practices of economic development at the state and local level. Knowledge and understanding of City of Jacksonville Public Investment Policy, State of Florida economic development programs is desired.
- Knowledge of financial analysis, fiscal analysis, economics and finance.
- Knowledge, understanding, and utilization of ArcGIS software preferred.
- Knowledge, understanding, and utilization of Salesforce, including system administration.
- Knowledge and use of personal computers, Microsoft Office applications, word processing, project management and presentation skills required.
- Candidate must possess strong written and oral skills; must possess the ability to present economic development projects for consideration clearly and concisely in both written and oral form.
- Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate in an effective manner projects involving other city departments and outside agencies in a timely manner.
- Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to perform technical research involving economic development opportunities and identify fiscal impacts if projects are undertaken.

Licensing/Certification/Registration: A valid driver's license is required prior to appointment and must be maintained. Must qualify for prior to appointment, obtain and maintain during employment City of Jacksonville Public Driver Certification.
