The Military Affairs and Veterans Department is actively seeking a Veteran Placement Specialist/SPE.

The primary purpose of this position is to interview and assess employment needs of homeless Veterans.Examples of Work
- Follow up with clients and employers to verify proper support services are provided to enable clients to maintain employment.
- Networks with potential employers, homeless shelters, job training services and transitional housing resources.
- Follows up with Veterans to ensure compliance with grant program guidelines and the individualized employment plan established for them.
- Provides continuing case management services to Veterans.
- Compiles data.
Open Requirements/Supplemental Information
- A three (3) year combination of education and experience in providing social services assistance, preferably to Veterans.
- A valid Florida Class E Driver's license is required prior to appointment and must be maintained during employment in this class.

Must meet standards to obtain a City of Jacksonville Public Driver Certification.
