General Description: Jacksonville Recreation has indoor and outdoor facilities throughout the City and include year-round programs, classes and events including summer concerts, camps, movies, team sports and many more activities for all ages. There are 19 parks and 20 miles of greenways and trails. We are a waterway City with easy access to fishing and water sports and are close to Onslow beaches.

The salary posted is the full hourly range for this position. The starting salary is expected to be in the range of $17.94 - $23.33 per hour depending on qualifications.
Assisting with planning, coordinating, and implementing athletic events; officiating athletic sports events; maintaining records and files; preparing reports. - Ensure games take place in a safe and fair manner and effectively communicate with coaches, participants and staff.
- Recognize rule infractions and determine penalties.
- Log all incidents.
- Monitor and promote sportsmanship of coaches, participants and spectators.
- Ensure the playing area is safe and free of hazards.
- Assist in setting up equipment to ensure games start on time.
- Review rules and regulations with participants and coaches (Pregame meeting).
- Inspect sporting equipment to ensure safety regulations.
- Attend regular training to attain a thorough knowledge of the rules.
- Performs related tasks as required.
