In this part-time non-sworn position, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring public safety through fire code inspections, enforcement, and education. Your expertise will help protect lives and property as you work directly with the public, business owners, and other stakeholders to promote fire safety awareness.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct fire code inspections in alignment with local, state, and federal laws.

What qualifications are necessary for the role?
To perform the essential duties of the position, the minimum education and experience required includes:
- Minimum of 18 years of age and a High School diploma or GED is required.
- Possession of a valid state-issued Driver’s License.
- Possess and maintain a Wisconsin Fire Inspector I certification.
Additionally, having the below qualifications are also a plus, but not necessary:
- Two years of fire service education and/or code enforcement experience
- Wisconsin Certified Firefighter II
What is the typical schedule?
This position will work 16 hours per week, on Tuesday and Thursday.
What is the pay?
The hourly pay for the Firefighter/Paramedic is $22.00 per hour. This position is classified as non-exempt.
