The City of Johns Creek Municipal Court Department seeks an experienced Probation Division Manager to lead the division's operations. This senior-level role establishes operational procedures, ensures compliance with mandated probation regulations, and oversees the enforcement of probation sentences for state misdemeanors and municipal code offenses. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, supervision, and training to probation personnel while managing a caseload of probation cases.
Key Responsibilities:
•Ensure compliance with Department of Community Supervision (DCS) and Adult Misdemeanor Probation Oversight Unit (MPOU) regulations.
•Supervise probation officers and monitor case management for adherence to court orders.
•Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical reports to Judges, Solicitors, Court Administrator, and DCS.
•Oversee probation enforcement for traffic violations, local ordinances, pre-trial diversion cases, and habitual drug/alcohol offenses.
•Maintain and monitor probationer compliance, including drug and alcohol screenings and treatment referrals.
•Collaborate with law enforcement, community service organizations, and treatment facilities.
•Ensure compliance with probationer supervision policies and oversee high-risk case management.
•Supervise the Solicitor's Pretrial Diversion program and manage community service placements.
•Provide professional development, training, and performance evaluations for probation staff.
•Ensure proper handling of confidential records and case documentation.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
•Five (5) years of personnel management experience in probation, corrections, or parole and five (5) years of probation or parole case supervision.
•Completion of Georgia Crime Information Center / CJIS Security Policy Awareness and Training within 30 days of hire.
•Successful drug screening, credit check, and fingerprint-based criminal history check.
•40-hour initial orientation training and 20-hour annual in-service training approved by MPOU prior to hire.
•Valid Georgia driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master's degree in a relevant field.
•Ten (10) years of experience in probation, corrections, or parole case management.

•Strong leadership, team-building, and personnel management skills.
•Knowledge of municipal, state, and federal laws related to probation enforcement.
•Ability to evaluate cases and enforce compliance with probation terms.
