Description
Under the supervision of the Pool Manager, the Pool Supervisor is responsible for the completion of daily tasks assigned to ensure and maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Employee shall provide effective customer service for all customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the department.
Examples of Duties
- Manages and supervises assigned operations to achieve goals within available resources; plans and organizes workloads and staff assignments; trains, motivates
- Determines work procedures and expedites workflow; studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Issues written and oral instruction; assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
- Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties; adjusts errors and complaints.
- Responds to public inquiries about recreation programs made by telephone, correspondence, or during public meetings.
- Offer excellent customer service to all patrons. Greet customers with a smile and respond to their needs in a kind and courteous manner.
- Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures.
- Take inventory of items to ensure adequate amount of items are available andrestocked accordingly.
- Participate in keeping all areas of the facility neat, clean and safe at all times. These duties include sweeping and mopping the restrooms, locker rooms, lobby, meeting rooms, concessions and removing trash, changing lights, cleaning pool deck etc.
- Handle all phone inquiries in the same kind and courteous manner.
- Be available to work nights and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
- Must be able to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to take direction from the Shift Manager and complete all tasks as assigned.
- Must have the ability to recognize problems as they arise and bring them to the attention of the Shift Manager.
- Must be able to assume a positive and active role at the pool, even while working under potentially stressful conditions (weather, upset or injured participants, etc.).
- Must have the ability to interact with youth when necessary to ensure the safety and well- being of all participants, facilities, and equipment. An ability to interact and communicate well with others is essential.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and/or written instructions efficiently and effectively.
- Be able to follow safety guidelines and exercise good judgment in all aspects of responsibility.
