Job Description:
The City of Junction City is hiring 3 Summer Camp Assistants & Lead at the Community Center to join the team! This position is a seasonal/temporary, hourly position.
Expected start date is June 23, 2025
Expected end date is August 25, 2025
Summer Camp Assistant - This is a temporary, hourly position with wages of $17.13-$19.28
Summer Camp Lead - This is a temporary, hourly position with wages of $19.89-$22.38
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 5 hour shifts with flexibility
- First day of Camp is June 23, 2025 and last day of Camp is August 25, 2025
General Position Summary:
Responsible for direct leadership of youth ages K-5 in a day camp setting with a variety of activities included, such as games, sports, arts & crafts, special events, and trips to the park and pool.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to assist or organize camp schedules, activities, supplies, and equipment.
- Responsible for cleanliness of the areas used by camp participants.
- Completing necessary forms related to attendance, check-in/check-out procedures, accidents/incidents, and any additional forms needed.
Job Skills Required:
- Promote a non-competitive, positive, self-image enhancing environment for each participant through the direction of non-competitive, fun, varied and well-organized activities.
- Exhibit enthusiasm for the activity to impart a feeling of excitement to camp participants.
- Provide and adhere to established guidelines set forth for the safety, behavior, and communication of the camp participants.
Job Requirements:
- First Aid & CPR certified.
