Full-time position available with the Aviation Department, Airport Police Division, located at the Charles B. Wheeler Airport 900 NW Richards Rd.
Salary Range: $18.37-$28.01/Hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m - 5:00p.m. during training, schedules assigned based on operational needs and seniority.

REQUIRES high school graduation and 1 year of experience as a security officer. May be required to obtain the appropriate license issued by the KCMO Police Department, depending on the specific assignment. May be required to possess a valid state -issued driver's license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.

Responsibilities
- Patrols the buildings and grounds at the downtown airport to safeguard against AOA breaches, trespassing, property damage, and theft.
- Assures no unauthorized persons gain access to the airfield or parked aircraft.
- Patrols are performed on foot and in vehicles and include patrol of the runways and taxiways.
- Assists patrols and tenants and maintains crowd control during events.
- Prepares reports and maintains activity logs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
