IT Senior Analyst (.NET Developer)

Full-time position available with the General Services Department, IT Division, located at 1111 Locust St.

Salary Range: $5,173-$7,759/month

Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Telework available after 6 month probationary period

Responsibilities

• Leading and performing work of a unit engaged in varied computer operations and architecture projects.
• Assist lower-level IT associates with more complex technical projects and problems.
• Provides leadership and coordination of project teams engaged in medium size projects under limited supervision.
• Performs related activities and makes recommendations in areas that require a high level of technical competency.
• Direct large projects in a competent fashion.
• Follow appropriate processes and procedures for assigned projects.
• Plan, review and participate in the preparation of business application program instructions to solve business or technical problems and ensure the implementation of those processes for present and future project performance.
• Make significant contributions to the success of projects by applying demonstrated knowledge.
• Perform technical peer review of work performed by project team.
• Anticipate hardware and software needs and make recommendations related to the acquisition of such.
• Design logic for programs or business application systems, prepare test data, define test schedule and test data requirements and analyze test results.
• Document procedures and operating methods, gather data for analysis of problem areas, analyze documents, files and reports related to workflow, design system improvements.
• Consult with supervisors and analysis staff in the design of information systems.
• Participate in selecting and implementing operation systems and architecture improvements.
• Analyze problems, determine cause and initiate corrective action in areas that require an expert level of technical competency.
• Lead project teams in the implementation of design/analysis and programming/coding initiatives.
• Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to train, instruct and educate groups and individuals in a team environment.
• Provide technical expertise to other members on the team for their technical development.
• Recommend process or procedure changes.
• Participate in process and quality improvement.
• Follow through on commitments made to customers.
• Assure that customer requirements are met.
• Works effectively with peers, team members, and other departments.
  
  

Qualifications

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of technology experience; OR a n equivalent combination of qualifying education and technology experience.
