Several full-time positions available with the Water Department, Wastewater Treatment Division located at 850 N. Century
Salary Range: $22.61-$34.48/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
REQUIRES two years of experience as a skilled worker in building and mechanical repair work in a relevant trade (HVAC, boilers, hydraulics, pumps and motors etc.). An additional related technical education certificate or diploma may be substituted for one year experience. Must possess a valid State -issued driver's license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies. May be required to obtain a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Class A, B, or C issued by the State of Missouri prior to the end of the employee's probationary period.(Appropriate CDL will be determined by the department). Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.

Responsibilities
- Inspects, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots equipment within the Wastewater Division.
- Operates various pumps, heating and air conditioning systems, and emergency power and transfer systems.
- Operates multi-stage water system, multi-zone two pipe steam system and vacuum condensate system.
- Operates waste heat snow melt system.
- Repairs doors and locking mechanisms; repairs plumbing and drainage systems; performs snow removal.
- Utilizes various tools and equipment for snow removal at various facilities.
- Troubleshoots basic electrical issues.
- Uses knowledge of computers and possesses the ability to read blueprints.
- Understands the importance of proper safety habits and knowledge of "lock out & tag out", and PPE.
