SUMMER PROGRAM TEACHER - SAFETY TOWN
The Kaukauna Recreation Department is hiring a Summer School Program Teacher for the Safety Town program.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Summer School Teacher for the Safety Town program will provide instruction and supervision to students, communicate class objectives, and manage daily class activities. The Teacher will ensure class/playfields are prepared for the daily curriculum, with the assistance of a Summer School Aide. The Teacher will monitor student progress and will provide feedback, additional guidance, and will speak with parents/guardians as needed on updates and additional information.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
(Knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to do the job well)
- Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited institution
- Current Wisconsin teaching license
- Previous experience teaching and leading, preferred
- Knowledgeable in educational techniques, subject content and evaluating learning objectives
- Demonstrated independence and leadership
- Conscious of safety behaviors
- Ability to handle decision-making and provide feedback with professionalism
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, climb, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, reach, push, and pull
- Ability to sustain prolonged visual concentration
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to endure a variety of weather and temperature conditions for prolonged periods of time
This position is a temporary summer position for June and July only.
