Position Function - Under the direction of The Keller Pointe Manager and/or Designee, performs assigned duties necessary to assist in management of the daily operations to ensure the proper planning, maintenance, safety and operation of all related programs, events and activities; building, facilities and equipment; and security and wellbeing of employees and patrons. Responsible for compliance of all applicable Federal, State, and Local Government laws and ordinances, and established guidelines and/or policies and procedures. | ||||||||

Performs duties necessary to support The Keller Pointe by overseeing, developing, coordinating, and implementing aquatics programs, such as classes, training, and events. Duties may include, but are not limited to: managing and directing the proper implementation of advertising and marketing; planning and coordinating yearly schedules; developing contracts and rental agreements; developing program cost analysis; registering participants; processing fees and applications; record keeping; purchasing supplies and equipment; preparing and cleaning facilities; and proper maintenance and repair of all pools and related facilities, to include but not limited to: machinery, pumps, motors, equipment, chemical usage and storage, etc. Responsible for developing and maintaining vendor, training and event logs; quarterly and annual reports; cost and profit analysis; volunteer logs, recruiting and training; and cash management. | 45% | |||||||
Performs assigned duties to assist Manager with the preparation and administration of the annual aquatics program and/or department budget. Duties may include, but are not limited to: forecasting expenditures for equipment, personnel, projects and facility; procurement of goods and services; vendor contracts; cost benefit analysis; Capital Improvements; and personnel related costs. | 25% | |||||||
Performs assigned duties to assist the Manager with the selection, retention and training of personnel, volunteers, and vendors, to include training and development initiatives. Responsible for conducting performance evaluations and disciplinary processes and procedures within established organizational and department guidelines, policies and/or directives. | 15% | |||||||
Provides technical staff assistance to ensure operations meets City standards and provides an environment of member and guest expectations. Requirements/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | ||||||||
Required knowledge and experience is normally obtained through the completion of an advanced education from an accredited educational institution of higher learning resulting in a Bachelors Degree in Recreation, or Aquatics Management, Public Administration, or related field, and five (5) to seven (7) years of work related management experience in recreation, aquatics, leisure services, hospitality, sports, public administration or related field is required. | ||||||||
American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification or Jeff Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Instructor Certification (Or obtain within 5 months of hire), and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) Certification (Or obtain within 5 months of hire) is required. | ||||||||
Current Infant/Child/Adult/CPR and First Aid with AED certification from Ellis & Associates, American Red Cross or American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon employment offer is required. | ||||||||
