What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concessions Attendant-Pools position at City of Kenosha?
The City of Kenosha is accepting applications for Concessions Attendants to work at the City's two public pools (located at Washington Park and Anderson Park) from June 17, 2025 (when the pools are tentatively scheduled to open) until August 17, 2025. Concessions Attendants work up to a full-time schedule of 48 hours per week (Tuesdays - Sundays), weather and water quality conditions permitting, and are required to work evenings and weekends. Concessions attendants may be scheduled to work between the two pool locations.

Concession Attendants at the municipal public pools are responsible for the collection of fees from the public for pool admittance and locker rental; general maintenance and cleaning of pool facilities and surrounding grounds; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 16 years of age or older by June 16, 2025 which is when the City is tentatively scheduled to open the pools for the summer season.
- Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screen which requires a parent or legal guardian to accompany and provide permission to the minor at the test collection site.
- Applicants the age of 18 years or older may be subject to a criminal background check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic math associated with currency and patronage.
- Skill in operation of general office equipment such as telephone, copier, cash register, typewriter, etc.
- Ability to understand and follow orders, orally and in writing.
- Ability to handle money with accuracy.
- Ability to prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
- Ability to provide customer service, resolving customer inquiries and complaints.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and public.
- Ability to handle reasonably necessary stress.
Physical Requirements:
- Task involves some physical effort, i.e. some standing and walking, frequent light lifting (5-10 pounds); infrequent moderately heavy lifting (20-50 pounds; minimal dexterity in the use of fingers, limbs, or body in the operation of shop or office equipment.
- Task may involve extended periods of time sitting or standing at a customer service area.
Environmental Requirements:
- Task is regularly performed with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
Sensory Requirements:
- Task requires sound perception and discrimination.
- Task requires oral communications ability.
