What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Clubhouse Attendant - 2025 position at City of Kenosha?
Golf Course Clubhouse Attendants work under the general supervision of the Leadworker and/or Field Supervisor at the City of Kenosha's municipal golf course. The golf course operates seven (7) days/week during the season, weather permitting, on a schedule set by the Parks Department (approximately April through October/November). Clubhouse Attendants are scheduled to work from dawn until dusk. Hours will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Selling golf course permits, merchandise, and renting golf cart equipment to the public using a tablet for point of sales.
- Taking course reservations and answering questions over the telephone and/or in person.
- Preparing and selling concession items including food, beverages, and alcohol.
- General maintenance and cleaning of the clubhouse, concession facilities, and grounds.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Prior experience providing customer service and responsibility in handling money required, including experience with general maintenance (stocking, cleaning, etc.).
- Must be age 18 or older.
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or HSED.
- Must pass a criminal background check and post-offer drug screen.
- Ability to understand and follow orders, orally and in writing.
- Ability to prepare, cook, and serve basic food items.
- Ability to handle money with accuracy.
- Ability to prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
- Ability to provide customer service, resolving customer inquiries and complaints.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and public.
- Knowledge of basic math associated with currency exchange using a cash register.
- Skill in operation of general office equipment such as telephone, cash register, etc.
- Task involves some physical effort, i.e. some standing and walking, frequent light lifting (5-10 pounds); infrequent moderately heavy lifting (20-50 pounds; minimal dexterity in the use of fingers, limbs, or body in the operation of shop or office equipment.
