Hours : 9 - 10 hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
3 : 00 pm-until 5 : 00 pm
Wednesday - 12 : 45 pm-3 : 15 pm, 1 pm-3 : 30 pm, 1 : 35-3 : 55 pm depending on school
Program runs September 16, 2024 - May 23, 2025
Hourly rate : $17.75 per hour
These positions are open until filled.
Duties : Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Youth Leaders plan, organize and lead daily activities for children grades K-5th. After school programs consist of approximately 20-30 participants and 3 staff members. Activities include arts and crafts, group games / competitions, sports, and songs.
Minimum Qualifications : Must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants are subject to a position-relevant background check.
Preferred Qualifications : One (1) year or more of experience working with children in a recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, and other large group activities for children between 6-12 years old; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics : responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
