Provides management of the safety and security of all employees and customers within the facility and the facility itself in absence of the Aquatic Manager, Assistant Aquatic Manager, and Operations Supervisors. Performs supervisory duties of PT aquatic team.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provides supervision of aquatic facility schedule. Oversees pool staff, pool programming, during business/facility rental hours that includes evenings, weekends, and some holidays;Responsible for opening the facility and/or closing and securing the facility at night, completes end of the night reports and reconciles monies;Maintains the facility standards in their personal appearance and uniform and enforces dress code regulations of pool staff.Assists Operations Coordinator with supervision and ongoing training of lifeguard team, including but not limited to, monthly skills tests, orientations, training new part-time employees, and in-services;Teaches or assists with teaching Lifeguard Training classes as needed;Acts as on-deck liaison during swim lessons, preforms duties as a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor;Assists with staff schedules with the assistance of the Operations Coordinator;Report all incidents, accidents to the Operations Coordinator/Aquatics Manager and contact the same immediately following a major problem or accident. Completes necessary paperwork concerning accidents, incidents or water rescues.Inspects facility and equipment for maintenance needs and assists with equipment inventory and control;Uses excellent customer service skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials and members of the general publicAssists customers with concerns, handles patron problems, such as behavior issues, and comments in an appropriate manner;Assists with coordinating volunteers for aquatic events and programs;Assists with promotion of aquatic programs at various events;Assists with concession operations and supervision;Additional duties as assigned;
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous aquatic experience is preferred. American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or proof of previous certification preferred. American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor Certification required, must be able to complete within one year of employment. Valid TN/VA DL is required.
