What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Swim Team Coach position at City of Kirkwood?

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for instruction of daily workouts for assigned age groups of swimmers at the Aquatic Center.
- Attends all swim team functions including but not limited to, practices, meets, and coach/parent meetings.
- Responsible for enforcing rules, and maintaining safety and enjoyment for all swim team participants. Assists with facility setup and clean up for each home meet.
- Communicates frequently with participants, parents, and team representatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to swim.
- Must have basic knowledge of the four basic strokes of competitive swimming.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good organizational skills a plus.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily done in an outdoor pool setting. Primarily scheduled in the mornings, with some evenings during the week. Must be able to work 5 days per week. Expected to work approximately 25-30 hours per week; varying work schedule.
