What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Section Director position at City of Kirkwood?

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee an age specific section of camp. (3rd and 4th grade, 5th and 6th grade, Teen Camp, etc.)
Plan, participate and assist with camp activities (including in the park, inside the Community Center, and at the pool).
Work with other Counselors to create a positive, fun, and safe environment for all campers.
Maintain good communication with directors and other counselors.
Follow all regulations and safety guidelines outlined at the start of camp.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Age 18 or older
- Experience working with school age children preferred
- CPR certification is required (will be offered at no cost if hired)
- Must be able to stand for up to 3 hours and carry at least 25 lbs.
- Willing to work in an indoor and outdoor setting in a variety of weather conditions.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Camp takes place primarily outdoors in Kirkwood Park, with occasional indoor activities.
Employment dates: June 2nd, 2025 through Aug 1st, 2025 (Monday through Friday)
