What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patrol Officer position at City of Kirkwood?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs uniformed patrol work involving traffic and crime control
Investigates criminal activity
Enforcement of laws and ordinances
Protection of life and property
Gives presentations to groups and individuals on subject matter related to job tasks and functions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to act effectively in emergency and non-emergency situations
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- No felony or serious misdemeanor convictions
- Be certified as a Class A Peace Officer in the State of Missouri or currently accepted or enrolled in an Academy program that awards such a certification and have a graduation date prior to July 31, 2025.
- Excellent physical and mental condition
- Must be 21 years of age on or before the date of appointment.
