RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Swimming Lesson Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the swim instructor staff and assisting with the overall operation of the Swimming Lesson Program.
- The Swim Lesson Coordinator will ensure that all safety and teaching guidelines are followed and will conduct regular evaluations of the swim instructor staff.
- This position will also be available during swimming lessons to answer questions from participants of the program.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically able to teach lessons to participants of all ages.
- Must be able to prepare course curriculum that is appropriate for designated class.
- Minimum of 1-year swim lesson experience.
- Capable of positive, effective, calm and professional communication verbally and written with staff, members, children and parents tailoring the communication style to the appropriate audience.
- Supervise staff and be present during all group lessons.
- Be able to work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, and ages.
- Ability to multi-task and be well organized.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned, in all weather conditions.
- Must have the ability to use independent judgement when needed.
- Must be able to withstand frequent standing, walking, and sitting during the day.
- CPR/AED and First-Aid certified Preferred.
- High School Diploma preferred.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily done in an outdoor pool setting. Primarily scheduled in the mornings, with some evenings during the week. Must be able to work 5 days per week. Expected to work approximately 25-30 hours per week; varying work schedule.
